Virtual Access Point / Hotspot using Connectify Hotspot

When I don't have a wireless router or access point, and just GSM modem beside me. There's a way to share the internet connection over the wireless device. I just try how to make a virtual hotspot using my wireless device built-in in my laptop. There's my step using Connectify Hotspot.

1. Download it from Connectify Hotspot then install it in my system.
2. The installation is clearly simple, sometimes it ask to turn off your antivirus, but it doesn't matter. After installation finish, you need to restart your system to apply the changes.
3. Configure the settings, its pretty simple, just specify the hotspot name, password and connection to share.
4. Try to connect to your virtual hotspot using your wireless devices, such as smartphone, tablets, etc.
5. Enjoy your internet sharing.

Share stuff from Dropbox inside Facebook Groups

Did you know that you can share stuff from your Dropbox right inside Facebook Groups? 

Quickly share notes with your study group, send the latest game schedule to your basketball team, or post a birthday video to your family's group from wherever you are.

To try it out, go to one of your Facebook groups and click 'Add File'. Simply link Facebook to your Dropbox account and you'll be able to browse through your stuff and select what you'd like to share. Only the files you choose to add will be shared with Facebook.

Docs, photos, and videos shared from Dropbox will show up on the group's wall and if you make an edit to a file you've shared, the group will get an update automatically! Check out Dropbox help center for more info.

• You have Dropbox account
• Allow Facebook to connect to your Dropbox account

Google Matikan iGoogle

Jakarta - Bukan kali pertama Google mematikan sejumlah produknya. Kali ini, ada 5 produk lagi yang dihentikan kelanjutannya oleh raksasa internet tersebut.

"Teknologi menciptakan peluang luar bisa untuk meningkatkan kehidupan masyarakat. Namun untuk memaksimalkannya, kami harus fokus, jika tidak kami harus berakhir dengan melakukan terlalu banyak dan tidak memiliki dampak dari yang kami perjuangkan," ujar Google dalam blognya.

Adapun produk-produk yang dihentikan salah satunya adalah iGoogle. iGoogle adalah home page untuk web yang bisa dikustomisasi.

Dirilis pada tahun 2005, produk tersebut merupakan kombinasi RSS reader dan widget platform, demikian seperti dikutip dari Cnet, Rabu (4/6/2012).

Dengan hadirnya aplikasi modern yang berjalan di atas platform seperti Chrome dan Android, kehadiran iGoogle sudah tidak dibutuhkan lagi. Penggunapun diberikan waktu 16 bulan untuk mengatur dan mengeskpor datanya.

Selain iGoogle, masih ada 4 produk lagi yang dihentikan di mana beberapa di antaranya gaungnya memang tidak santer terdengar. Apa saja?
